Carroll had been in very serious condition for a while, so even though it wasn't really a surprise he passed on May 10th, 2012 it was still a surprise.  It's a reminder that we all must go some day.

George Bartell Passes
Sad news that dear friend George Bartell passed away Saturday. Brock met George in 1956 at Art Center College of Design and they remained friends ever since. George would often refer to Brock as "my soul brother". Brock commissioned many paintings from George over the years for Shelby American and BRE.
