BRE's adventure into Formula 5000s ended in a freak thunderstorm on the front straight of Road Atlanta in 1972. The car was totaled in the race and BRE, out of funds, cancelled the program.

There are very few images of this piece of BRE history. Here the car is shown at the Road Atlanta track with Championship driver John Morton at the wheel.
